Minister launches 30-second television campaign ahead of 2027 presidential election
The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has unveiled a television campaign series, Tinubu Aviation Revolution Series, to showcase the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration in the aviation sector ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The initiative represents one of the first campaign communication activities undertaken by Keyamo following his appointment as Director of the Directorate of Air Transport Mobilisation under the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC PCC).
The Directorate is responsible for coordinating and facilitating air transportation for authorised campaign activities in support of President Tinubu’s re-election bid.
Moving swiftly to demonstrate his commitment to the new assignment, Keyamo mobilised his team to produce a 30-second television campaign material highlighting the administration’s achievements and interventions in the aviation industry.
The campaign material, which has been fully paid for, is scheduled to begin airing on November 1, 2026, across major television stations nationwide. The broadcasts will continue until a few days before the presidential election.
According to the initiative’s concept, the Tinubu Aviation Revolution Series is designed to provide a concise and compelling account of developments in the aviation sector under the present administration.
The short-format television production is expected to take the government’s aviation record directly to the electorate, drawing attention to sectoral progress and its contribution to national development.
The campaign also seeks to underscore aviation’s strategic importance as a driver of economic growth, tourism, trade, investment and international connectivity.
By highlighting the sector’s contributions, the series aims to demonstrate how developments in aviation align with the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda and provide voters with information to assess its performance ahead of the 2027 polls.
The unveiling of the television series signals the commencement of a focused aviation-sector campaign communication effort as the APC prepares for the next general election.
