
National Impact Glitz Magazine has announced plans to celebrate its 17th anniversary, bringing together some of Nigeria’s leading policymakers, academics, business executives and media professionals to examine the country’s economic future and shape conversations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The anniversary celebration, organised by Lumen Impact Communications, publishers of National Impact Glitz Magazine, will hold at Presken Hotel and Resorts, Ikeja, Lagos. The event will feature a keynote lecture, awards presentation, documentary premiere and strategic discussions on national development.
The keynote lecture, themed “Nigeria’s Growth Paradox: Unlocking the Economy’s Full Potential and Creating Agenda for Nigeria’s 2027 Presidency”, will explore the country’s economic prospects, policy reforms and leadership priorities as stakeholders prepare for the next political cycle.
Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of National Impact Glitz Magazine, Mr. Alfred Omenihu, said the celebration goes beyond marking another anniversary, describing it as an opportunity to stimulate meaningful conversations on Nigeria’s future while recognising individuals and organisations that have distinguished themselves through exceptional service and leadership.
According to him, the event also reflects the publication’s enduring commitment to credible journalism, capacity building and strategic communication.
The event is to be chaired by Professor Dr. Simon Okoro while expected as Special Guests of Honour are High Chief Ambassador Dr. Nzeribe Okegbue, President and Chairman of Council of the Employers Association for Private Employment Agencies of Nigeria (EAPEAN); Sir Stanley Amuchie, Chief Operations and Information Officer/Executive Director of Fidelity Bank Plc; Dr. Island Anyasi, Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Sheriff Deputies Ltd, Kleenrite Ltd and Much@Once Supermarket; and Brigadier General Dr. Otu Ovadje (Rtd).Also expected are Prof. Onyekpe, Head of the Department of History and Strategic Studies, University of Lagos; Prof. Bright Nnabuihe, Head of the Department of Linguistics, African and Asian Studies, University of Lagos; Hajia Bola Muse, Chief Executive Officer of Bomorah Group; and Dr. Badejo Adebola; Registrar of Yaba College of Technology, who will serve as Fathers and Mothers of the Day.
The guest lecture will be delivered by Professor Muminu Adamu of the Department of Statistics, University of Lagos, who is expected to provide strategic insights into Nigeria’s economic challenges and opportunities ahead of the 2027 elections.
Founded in April 2009, National Impact Glitz Magazine has grown from a modest publication into a respected general-interest media platform renowned for credible journalism, insightful features, media training and strategic communications.
Over the past 17 years, the publication has produced more than 160 editions covering politics, business, culture, lifestyle, entertainment, markets and human-interest stories, while helping to shape public discourse on national issues.
Beyond publishing, the organisation has invested significantly in journalism development, training more than 40 media professionals who have gone on to build successful careers in leading media organisations and other sectors within and outside Nigeria.
Its operations have equally expanded into branding, public relations, media consultancy and strategic communications, providing advisory services to corporate organisations, public institutions and individuals seeking to strengthen their public engagement.National Impact Glitz has also left its mark in education and youth development through its long-running “Rule Your World” initiative across secondary schools in Imo State.
The programme has promoted academic excellence through science, arts and commercial quizzes, essay competitions, public speaking contests, sporting activities, beauty pageants and the publication of the inspirational Grand Impact Magazine for students.
The organisation has equally partnered several corporate institutions on developmental initiatives and organised what it described as Nigeria’s first widely publicised National Prayer Summit during the country’s 60th Independence Anniversary, bringing together more than 60 Christian leaders at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
Reflecting on the publication’s journey, Omenihu said the organisation has remained steadfast in its commitment to truth, innovation and nation-building.“For 17 years, we have stayed committed to truth, creativity and impact. We started as storytellers and have grown into builders of storytellers. From our newsroom to our training halls and consultancy boardrooms, our mission has remained the same – to inform, shape opinions, inspire and influence.
“We also take pride in the biographies and books produced through our organisation. We owe this remarkable journey to our readers, clients, trainees and partners who believed in us”, he said.
He expressed appreciation to individuals and organisations that have supported the media house over the years, particularly Sir Stanley Amuchie, High Chief Ambassador Dr. Nzeribe Okegbue, Dr. Adedoye Olabode, Vice President of Operations Research Nigeria, Chief Sir Chris Enwereuzor, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Chris Ernest (Nig.) Ltd, and several others for their unwavering encouragement.
Looking ahead, Omenihu said National Impact Glitz Magazine would continue to embrace innovation in publishing, expand journalism training, strengthen its media consultancy services and promote strategic communication that empowers organisations and individuals.
He reaffirmed the publication’s commitment to quality journalism, ethical reporting and professional excellence as it continues to contribute to the growth of Nigeria’s media industry.
National Impact Glitz Magazine is a member of the Congress of Nigerian Maritime Media Practitioners (CONMMEP), where its publisher serves as Financial Secretary, and is also affiliated with the Federated Maritime Media Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Lagos State Council.
As the publication marks its 17th anniversary, the event is expected to celebrate its achievements while opening a new chapter focused on innovation, media excellence and meaningful contributions to Nigeria’s national development.
