Renowned maritime and aviation expert, Captain Warredi Enisuoh, is set to headline the 10th edition of the Annual Maritime Students and Youth Conference (AMSAY) as keynote speaker, organisers have announced.

The milestone event, widely known as “A Day With Nigerian Maritime Students”, will take place on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the Mission to Seafarers, Apapa, Lagos.

Enisuoh, who serves as Executive Director, Operations and Technical at Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, will deliver a keynote address titled: “The Youth and the Future of Nigerian Maritime Sector: Understanding How Nations Develop Their Maritime Industry”.

With over two decades of cross-sector experience spanning maritime operations, aviation, and national security, Enisuoh is regarded as a leading voice in maritime safety, shipping development, and the protection of critical oil and gas infrastructure in Nigeria.

A holder of the prestigious Master Mariner Class 1 Unlimited Foreign Going License, he is also a licensed aircraft pilot with a Diploma in Aviation. His extensive academic training cuts across leading global institutions, including the Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron; Arab Maritime Transport Academy, Egypt; Australian Maritime College, University of Tasmania; Tasmanian Aviation College; and the Swiss Air Training Centre, Zurich.

His professional career spans key international and domestic institutions. He spent eight years with Pacific International Lines in Singapore and six years with the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA), where he contributed to maritime safety regulation. He also played a pivotal role in maritime education as a lecturer, instructor, course developer, and examiner at the Australian Maritime College.

In Nigeria, Enisuoh made notable contributions at the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), serving as Director of Maritime Safety and Director of Shipping Development, where he helped drive policy and operational improvements in the sector.

The conference will feature a high-level panel discussion moderated by Captain Dr. Fola Ojutalayo, Marine Surveyor and Senior Lecturer at the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology.

Panelists will represent key industry segments, including regulators, shipowners, local content experts, technical professionals, legal practitioners, operators, and academia. Expected participants include representatives from NIMASA, Shipowners Association of Nigeria (SOAN), Nigerian Shipowners Association (NISA), Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), NLNG Shipping and Marine Services Limited, and the Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron.

Organised by Platforms Communications, AMSAY has, over the past decade, evolved into a vital platform for stakeholder engagement, policy dialogue, and youth-driven advocacy within Nigeria’s maritime industry. The conference has consistently championed conversations around reform, capacity development, innovation, and sustainable growth.

Meanwhile, organisers confirmed that the conference, initially scheduled for May 27, 2026, has been rescheduled to June 10, 2026, to accommodate the Ileya (Eid al-Adha) celebrations and ensure broader participation.

“We deemed it necessary to adjust the date so that our Muslim faithful can fully participate after the festivities,” the organisers stated, while expressing regret for any inconvenience caused.

They added that formal notifications have been communicated to maritime institutions, government agencies, private sector stakeholders, and all invited participants ahead of the new date.
