
Having secured a prompt response from Comptroller General of Customs (CGC), Adewale Adeniyi, to reconsider the cases of suspended licenses of some freight forwarders, the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), has urged affected members to submit their details to the assocation with dispatch.
NAGAFF had in a recent letter appealed to the CGC to reconsider the cases of suspended licenses.
In a statement issued on Sunday by its General Secretary, Fwder Emeka Nwosu, the association noted that the prompt response from the CGC presents a crucial opportunity for its members affected by the license suspensions to potentially resolve these issues.
“To assist in compiling the required list for submission to the CGC, we urgently request all members with suspended Customs licenses to provide the following information without delay:
*Full Name of License Holder/Company: (As it appears on the license)
*License Number:
*Date of Suspension (if known):
*Brief Reason for Suspension (if known):
*Contact Person:
*Phone Number:
*Email Address:
“Please ensure that the information provided is accurate and complete to avoid any delays in processing”, the statement read in part.
According to the statement, the required information are to be submitted via email to the NAGAFF official email address or deliver it in person to the NAGAFF headquarters on or before May 12, 2025.
“After collecting this information, NAGAFF will compile a comprehensive list to submit to the CGC for their consideration. We are committed to working diligently on your behalf to seek a positive resolution to these cases.
“We urge all affected members to treat this matter with the urgency it deserves and provide the requested information within the specified deadline.
“This is a significant step forward, and your prompt cooperation is essential to maximising the benefits of a responsible partnership with the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) management as presently constituted”, the concluded.
