The Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria, has bid farewell to its immediate past acting Rector, Mr. Joseph Shaka Imalighwe, as he bows out of active service after reaching the mandatory retirement age.

Imalighwe’s career is a testament to the power of hard work and determination, having risen through the ranks with,,,, humility and dedication.

The Rector/Chief Executive, Dr. Danjuma Ismaila, praised Imalighwe for his sterling service years, noting that he has earned the admiration and commendation of staff through his good spirit. He assured Imalighwe of the college’s continued support and wished him good health, peace, and happiness in his new status as a senior citizen.

In his response, Imalighwe expressed deep gratitude to God and all staff who helped shape his career. He emphasised the importance of kindness, humility, and good human relationships with colleagues, attributing these virtues and God’s grace as key to his success. 

The occasion, which also marked his 65th birthday, was celebrated by almost the entire staff of the college, who commended him for his hugely impactful and glorious years of service.

The staff’s warm tributes and appreciation for Imalighwe’s dedication and service to NCAT underscored his enduring legacy in the institution. 

As he began his new chapter, his colleagues wished him well, grateful for the opportunity to have worked alongside him.
