… announces news dates for Ward, State, Zonal Congresses

The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has announced that it will hold its Congresses on the 13th, 15th, 16th and 17th of January while the National Convention would be held on January 20, 2025.

The event formerly planned to hold on an earlier date will take place at the RockView Hotel, Apapa, Lagos State.

The Party in a letter to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC),

signed by the Chairman, Board of Trustees. Dr. Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam, reflected the changes in date and venue.

The letter addressed to the Chairman of INEC read: “In furtherance to the  notification letter conveying dates and venues of the congresses and the National Convention of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) I earlier sent to your commission in accordance with the Abia State High Court judgement, Suit No HUZ/11/2024, I wish to officially inform you of some slight changes in the dates of Congresses and venue of the National Convention schedule as follows:

“National Convention – 20th of January, 2025.

“Venue: Rock View Hotel, Apapa – Lagos State.

“Time : 9pm – 6am.

“Consequently , the dates  for Ward, Local Government and Zonal congresses  communicated in our earlier letter are slightly changed as follows;

1.Ward Congress- 13th of January 2025

2.Local Government Congress – 15th of January,2025.

3. State Congress – 16th of January 2025

4. Zonal Congress – 17th of January 2025.”

It regretted every inconvenience caused by the sudden change of dates and venue, stressing that the presence of INEC officials at the two engagements would be taken for granted.

“The presence of your noble commission’s officials to observe and monitor the aforementioned congresses and Convention shall be highly appreciated. You are duly invited. 

“Kindly accept the assurances of my best regards,” the letter concluded.
