… reels safety instructions to passengers

With the Salah festival coming up next week, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has assured Nigerians of a very seamless travel through the nation’s airports.
The Authority revealed that it has consistently taken measures to upgrade its security apparatus to ensure safety of life and property of the travelling public.
FAAN, therefore, encouraged all travellers to be at the airport early enough in order not to miss their flights as well as reduce rush.
“International travellers must be at the airport three hours before departure, while local travellers must ensure to arrive about two hours to flight schedule.
“Please ensure that you pack your luggage by yourself.
“Do not leave your luggage unattended.
“Keep an eye on your valuables while passing through screening.
“Ensure that you park your vehicle properly at the car park to avoid it being towed.
“Respect rules and regulations in respect of carriage of prohibited articles, liquids, and gel,” FAAN warned in a statement.
It further warned passengers not engage the services of touts recalling that its Managing Director, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, at a recent event had sent out a severe warning to staff as well as all government agencies that operate at the airports that FAAN will ensure that whoever is culpable is punished.
“Do not give bribes or encourage extortion,” it advised.
FAAN in the statement also reminded passengers that it has information desks at all the airports to assist them and urged them to make use of them.
