The Managing Director of Weststar Associates Limited, the authorised franchise holder of Mercedes-Benz vehicles in Nigeria, Mrs. Ebere Anenih, has urged young women to combine diligence with consistency and resilience to meet their goals and gain recognition in their endeavours.

Anenih was speaking on the sidelines of a recent gathering of Automotive Women organised by the Publisher of Onwheels Magazine, Mrs. Julie Chi-Nwoha, in commemoration of the International Women’s Day (IWD).

The event which was specifically packaged to honour Anenih as the newly appointed Managing Director of Weststar Associates, had notable women in various fields of the Automotive Industry gather to give honour to whom honour is due.

In addition to encouraging women, Anenih also shared her vision of taking the company to a higher pedestal, through customer services.

The Managing Director also shared her approach to balancing work and family life.

To the young women, she said: “I would just say keep working hard and pray a lot, and hope that in the end, your hard work is recognised.

“Stand for something and keep working hard, and hopefully, by His grace, you will also be able to achieve”.

On the plan to further strengthen Weststar Associates, she emphasised

that her team is really focusing on customer service.

“People say it’s a luxury product, and feel they can’t afford our vehicles. I know it’s luxury, but I don’t think the prices are as crazy as people think they are”, Anenih emphasised.

To achieve this goal, Weststar Associates according to her, is investing in robust after-sales services, including spare parts sales and servicing for Mercedes-Benz cars and trucks.

When asked about her personal experience with sexual harassment on her pathway to growing her career, especially as a woman, Anenih said, “I know a lot of women say men hit on them,  but I have been very grateful that in my 15-year career, I’ve actually never had it”.

However, she emphasised her commitment to preventing harassment and bullying in the workplace, stating, “I take sexual harassment very seriously. I take any form of bullying very seriously. I have zero tolerance for it”.

On balancing work and family life,  Anenih attributed her success to her supportive husband, understanding children, and strong support network.

“I’ve been very fortunate,” she said. “We’ve grown together, and we understand each other”, Anenih enthused.

As the Managing Director of Weststar Associates Limited, Anenih is a shining example of a strong and empowered woman in leadership.

Her commitment to customer service, empowerment, and work-life balance is an inspiration to many.
