The entire membership of the Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN) joins colleagues across the maritime industry and beyond in commiserating with our former President, Elder Asu Beks, on the painful and irreparable loss of his dear wife, Mrs. Helen Asu Beks, whose sad and untimely passing occurred on Thursday, 15th November 2025.
The Association expressed deep shock and sorrow over this tragic incident. We pray that God grants our former President, his children, and the entire Asu Bek’s family the divine strength, fortitude, and courage needed to bear this great loss.
Every MARAN member lifts the family in prayer, asking the Almighty to continue to preserve, protect, and comfort them. May the soul of the departed Amazon find eternal rest in the bosom of the Lord.
We say, “take heart, Sir”, for the Good Lord has assured us that those who sleep in Him are not gone forever—they shall rise again on that glorious Resurrection Morning.
