The Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Dayo Mobereola, has urged Nigerians, particularly the Muslim faithful, to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice as they celebrate Eid al-Adha.

In a goodwill message to NIMASA staff, maritime stakeholders, and the Muslim community, Mobereola highlighted the significance of the season, noting that it reflects the virtues of faith, obedience, and selflessness as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.

“This season reminds us of the importance of sacrifice as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to obey God’s command. We must reflect this in our daily lives by showing love to one another, demonstrating patriotism, and remaining devoted to the teachings of Allah”, he said.

The NIMASA Director General also extended warm greetings to staff and stakeholders in the maritime sector, appreciating their continued commitment to the growth of the industry and the advancement of Nigeria’s Blue Economy agenda.

“Eid Mubarak to our valued staff and stakeholders. May this blessed celebration bring peace and joy. Thank you for your dedication and contributions to the development of the maritime sector”, he added.

Mobereola further called on Nigerians to embrace the values of empathy, charity, unity, and sacrifice, stressing that these principles are vital to building a safer and more prosperous nation.
