Ports & Cargo Handling Services Limited (PCHS), a subsidiary of Sifax Group, has partnered with Micura Services Limited to handle stevedoring services at its Tin Can Island Port terminal in Lagos. 

This move aims to enhance efficiency in port operations and improve customer experience as part of PCHS’s broader restructuring effort.

PCHS Managing Director, John Jenkins, stated that the company seeks to transition into a new growth phase, focusing on core port management while leveraging Micura’s expertise for efficient cargo handling. Jenkins emphasised the need for a professional stevedore company with industry experience and local knowledge, praising Micura Services for meeting these expectations.

Micura Services CEO, Dr. Michael Ubogu, expressed gratitude for the partnership opportunity, highlighting his company’s commitment to delivering exceptional, tailored solutions. He noted that Micura Services boasts well-trained staff skilled in handling various cargo types.

The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) also commended PCHS for transparently managing dock worker issues during the transition. 

This partnership reflects PCHS’s pursuit of excellence in port operations and customer satisfaction.
