
The Nigeria College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) at the Global International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Implementation Support Symposium 2024 earned a remarkable recognition having clinched multiple awards at the event held in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic recently.
NCAT is a training institute under the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development charged with the responsibility of training pilots, air traffic controllers, aircraft maintenance engineers, cabin crew, and several other aviation professionals.
It is a member of the ICAO Trainair Plus Programmes (TPP).
According to a statement from the institution, NCAT clinched multiple awards, including the prestigious accolade for the highest number of trained instructors for six consecutive years up to 2023 and the award for the highest number of trainees on ICAO training packages.
The statement also announced that NCAT was inducted as a platinum member of the TPP steering committee, an elite group of just four-member nations globally.
“This outstanding achievement was made possible with the support of the Hon. Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo,” the statement added.
