Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) Plc has posted a strong financial performance for the 2025 financial year, reporting a Profit Before Tax (PBT) of ₦12.007 billion, nearly doubling the ₦6.486 billion recorded in 2024.

The company also recorded a revenue of ₦44.46 billion, representing a 54 per cent increase from ₦28.94 billion achieved in the previous year, driven by increased passenger and cargo handling activities, improved operational efficiency and sustained investment in infrastructure.

Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at approximately ₦9.74 billion, while earnings per share rose significantly to ₦7.20 from ₦3.57, reflecting improved shareholder value and overall financial strength.

Speaking at the company’s 16th Annual General Meeting, Chairman of SAHCO, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, attributed the impressive performance to the resilience of the company’s business model, the dedication of its workforce and its focus on operational excellence.

“The 2025 financial performance reflects the resilience of our business model, the commitment of our workforce and our unwavering focus on operational excellence, customer satisfaction and strategic expansion”, he said.

He noted that the results underscore SAHCO’s ability to navigate a challenging operating environment while sustaining growth and delivering value to shareholders.

Further strengthening its financial position, shareholders’ equity rose to ₦62.21 billion, while total assets increased to ₦82.69 billion, supported by investments in property, plant and equipment, as well as improved liquidity.

Looking ahead, Afolabi disclosed that the company is pursuing strategic expansion into the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and other African markets as part of its long-term growth plan.

He explained that the move is aimed at diversifying revenue streams, leveraging opportunities within the growing global aviation industry and positioning SAHCO as a leading ground handling and logistics service provider across Africa and beyond.

SAHCO, which currently operates across all commercial airports in Nigeria, remains a key player in the aviation sector, providing services including passenger handling, baggage and ramp operations, cargo handling, aviation security, crew administration and premium lounge services.

Industry observers said the company’s expansion drive could further strengthen its regional footprint and enhance Nigeria’s presence in the global aviation services market.
