The Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Zone 2 of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) Mohammed Ari Ali, has disclosed his plan to visit the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) headquarters on an official assignment.
The visit is in line with his engagement with critical stakeholders within his zonal command structure.
His visit according to NAGAFF is to deliver the message of hope of the Inspector General of Police in line with the mandate of the President of Nigeria seeking collaboration and partnership with Nigerians in the area of community policing.
The body said AIG’s visit shall provide a greater opportunity to freight forwarders to discuss issues related to police operations within Zone 2.
It is on record that freight forwarders are not really having a most desired working relationship with police officers along the city roads under his watch, in the course of delivering cargo to the owners warehouses immediately out of the customs ports and borders.
“All NAGAFF members and members of our sisters associations are duly invited to welcome him and his officers and men, and equally have the opportunity to engage him on mutual conversations,” NAGAFF urged.
