The Managing Director/CEO, International Supply Chain Systems (ISCS) Limited, Chief Ambassador Dr. Afam Chukwuma, has outlined a comprehensive blueprint for revitalising Nigeria’s trade corridors. 

Chukwuma who was speaking at a high-level stakeholder engagement hosted by the Congress of Nigerian Maritime Media Practitioners (CONMMEP), drew on his extensive experience in international diplomacy, economic development, and maritime strategy,  highlighting the critical role of trade empowerment in fostering sustainable national growth.

The proposed measures include policy reform, infrastructure development, and public-private collaboration, with a focus on modernising port operations, reducing bureaucratic bottlenecks, and embracing digital innovation. By implementing these measures, the logistics guru believes that Nigeria’s trade corridors can be transformed, leading to enhanced economic growth and development.

The engagement themed “Empowering Trade, Enhancing Growth”, brought together media professionals, maritime stakeholders, policymakers, and development advocates to explore strategic pathways for enhancing Nigeria’s maritime sector.

Chukwuma’s vision for revitalised trade corridors emphasises the importance of collaborative efforts in driving economic growth and advancement in Nigeria’s maritime sector.
