NiMet Director, Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Mrs. Funke Adebayo-Arowojobe

The Director, Public Affairs and Consumer Protection of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), Mrs. Funke Adebayo-Arowojobe, has said the recent Stakeholder Engagement Forum organised by the agency has strengthened connections with its diverse audience. 

The forum, themed “Early Warnings: Raising Awareness on Climate Risks and Promoting Early Action”, reflects NiMet’s new era of engagements and commitment to improving communication and service delivery.

Adebayo-Arowojobe noted that the forum provided an opportunity for NiMet to project its services, connect with stakeholders, and inform them about its strategic plans, progress, and challenges. She emphasised that the engagement was essential to improving client satisfaction, managing expectations, and building trust through clear and transparent communication.

The forum’s agenda focused on enhancing service delivery, reinforcing NiMet’s value proposition, and creating shared successes. Adebayo-Arowojobe highlighted the agency’s ambition to broaden its impact beyond its current sectors, including aviation, agriculture, and environmental management, to new areas such as marine, oil and gas, health, and construction.

The Director expressed gratitude to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, and President Bola Tinubu for their unwavering support. She also emphasised the importance of tailored dialogue with NiMet’s diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, policymakers, private sector entities, and the general public.
