The League of Airport and Aviation Correspondents (LAAC) has announced renowned financial analyst and economist, Bismarck Rewane, will be delivering the keynote address at its 29th Annual Conference, scheduled for August 7, 2025, at The Providence Hotel in Lagos. 

This year’s conference themed “Aviation Financing in Nigeria: The Risks, Opportunities and Prospect”, will have Rewane who is the Managing Director of Financial Derivatives Company Limited, bring insights into macroeconomic trends and sustainable financing strategies.

Other notable speakers include the Managing Director/CEO of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria, who will serve as Conference Chairman and aviation economist and Chairman of Sabre Central and West Africa, Dr. Gabriel Olowo, who will deliver a keynote address on industry dynamics and air transport economics.

The conference will feature a diverse panel of professionals from the aviation value chain, including Chairman of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, Mr. Alex Nwuba and the Director General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, Capt. ChrisNajomo.

Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, will attend as Special Guest of Honour.

Key discussion areas will include infrastructure investment, airport modernisation, aircraft leasing, funding for Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul operations, and regulatory reforms. 

The event will also feature the unveiling of a compendium titled “Celebrating Champions of Aviation Development”, profiling individuals and institutions that have contributed significantly to Nigeria’s aviation sector.

LAAC has expressed confidence in the conference’s readiness, promising a seamless and engaging experience for delegates.
