The Nigeria Customs Service has reaffirmed its commitment to stronger inter-agency collaboration following a series of strategic courtesy visits by the Acting Customs Area Controller, Oyo/Osun Area Command, DC Wale Moses Adewole, to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the Nigerian Correctional Service in Oyo State.
The engagements were designed to strengthen institutional ties and enhance operational synergy among the sister security agencies in the effective discharge of their statutory responsibilities.

During the visits, DC Adewole stressed that effective national security management depends on sustained collaboration, mutual support, and timely intelligence sharing among relevant government bodies. He reiterated the Service’s readiness to work closely with other agencies to combat smuggling, secure national borders, and facilitate legitimate trade.
He added that the initiative forms part of the Command’s broader strategy to consolidate existing partnerships and establish stronger communication channels for coordinated responses to security challenges across Oyo and Osun States.

In their responses, the leadership of both the NSCDC and the Nigerian Correctional Service commended the initiative and expressed their commitment to maintaining robust working relationships with the Nigeria Customs Service in pursuit of shared national security objectives.
The Oyo/Osun Area Command emphasised that sustained inter-agency cooperation remains critical to effective security administration, as well as the protection of government interests and public safety.
