In a renewed push to enhance service delivery and deepen collaboration, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has engaged members of the International Airlines Association of Nigeria (IAAN) in a strategic meeting aimed at improving protocol services and overall passenger experience.

The Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Mr. Henry Agbebire, led the engagement on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.

The interactive session created a platform for both FAAN and airline operators to exchange ideas and address key operational concerns affecting airport services. Agbebire noted that the meeting was designed to strengthen the working relationship between FAAN’s Department of Protocol and Passages and airline stakeholders, while also providing an avenue to better understand the challenges faced by operators.

During the discussions, airline representatives highlighted several pressing issues, including poor signage linked to ongoing landside construction, inadequate lift facilities, shuttle bus constraints, and disruptions to airside ramp markings due to construction activities. They also called for increased support to enhance customer satisfaction.

Responding, Agbebire assured stakeholders that FAAN would thoroughly review all concerns raised, with a commitment to improving operational efficiency, service delivery, and passenger experience across the nation’s airports.
