The Flight Dispatchers Association of Nigeria (FLIDAN), has elected new executives to steer the activities of the association for the next two years.
FLIDAN is the umbrella body of Flight Dispatchers in Nigeria.
A statement signed by the Secretary General of FLIDAN, Mrs. Victoria Adegbe, said the new executives elected in Lagos recently, had the President as Mr. Daniel Ayuba, who is the Operations Control Manager of Elin Group, the Accountable Manager and CEO of Aviatrix Hub, an Approved Training Organisation, Mrs. Victoria Adegbe, as the Secretary General, Mr. Isaac Madikaegbu, a senior Flight Dispatcher with Air Peace was elected as the Academic Secretary and Mr. Taiwo Oyewale, a senior Flight Dispatcher with Dornier Aviation emerged the Treasurer.
Speaking shortly after his election, the newly elected President of FLIDAN, Ayuba thanked members for the confidence reposed in him, assuring that the exco would protect the interest of all members.
Also speaking on the election, Adegbe, said that for some time now, FLIDAN has not been very active and its presence has not been felt in the Industry in recent years.
She stated that the essence of the election is not only to further revive the body but to also give voice to the association’s members.
She informed that prior to the election, the Board of Trustees led by Mr. David Olatunji, Mr. Amos Olajide, past presidents, Wasiu Folarin and Raji Taiwo, Olusina Sina and Lanre Alaka have been holding forth for the association.
Other vibrant members includes James Bako, Julius Ekumatalor, Udoh Andrew, Aina Goriola Bello, Abah Godwin, Sulaimon Ajisebutu, Matthew Anawo and Saminu Tanko .
The newly elected executives, she said have a huge task ahead of them as Flight Dispatch is the core of any airline operations and hence shouldered with the responsibility of safety and efficiency of flight operations.
