Barr. Hassan Bello, immediate past ES, NSC

The immediate past Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer, Nigerian Shippers Council (NSC), Barrister Hassan Bello, would chair the 7th edition of the Annual Maritime Students And Youth (AMSAY) conference, also known as ‘A Day With Nigerian Maritime Students.’

Bello, a friend of all and strong supporter of youth initiative would as Chairman of occasion direct proceedings of the 2023 AMSAY conference starting from opening session to the technical session and ending with the award session.

According to organisers of the conference, Platforms Communications, Bello’s acceptance to chair the 7th edition of this conference is remarkable and nostalgic, considering that in 2016 when the vision was conceived, the management of Platforms Communications led members of the planning committee to see Bello as the then NSC boss, to intimate him with the programme idea and seek his buy in and guidance in making the vision a reality.

Expectedly, Bello did not hesitate to give his blessings and support to the vision after hearing the objective and purpose of the conference and how it would impact the students as future leaders of the industry.

“Since then, ‘A Day With Nigerian Maritime Students’ has become a yearly event which all maritime students look forward to attending each year!

“Like a headmaster whose supervisor is visiting, Platforms Communications and indeed the planning committee members would receive Bello to 2023 AMSAY conference as he chairs and steers the conference programme schedule this year,” the organisers said.

The 2023 AMSAY conference is scheduled to hold by 10am on Friday, June 16, 2023 at the auditorium of the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research, Yaba Lagos.

About 300 to 400 maritime students and youth according to Platforms Communications are expected to be in attendance.
