
In a grand finale of the maritime industry pageantry held recently in Lekki Lagos, representative of the Nigerian Shippers Council (NSC), Miss. Roselyn Olanisimi, emerged Winner and Crowned Queen of the Face Of Maritime International (FOMI) 2024.
Miss. Olaide Olaoye, representing L.T.T Coastal and Marine Services Ltd, and representative of the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy (FMMBE), Miss. Idididi Mira, emerged First and Second Runners Up respectively.
At the 9th grand finale of the pageantry, the Ondo State indigene, Olanisimi beat other finalists to clinch the prestigious FOMI Crown.
Queen Olanisimi is 25 years old, dark in complexion and stands 5.8 feet tall. She holds National Diploma Certificate in Business Administration and currently a fashion designer.
Meanwhile, Olaoye, who emerged the First Runner Up FOMI known as Ambassador 2024 is a 20 year old native of Ogun State.
This is even as 22 year old Idididi, who clinched the Second Runner-up position known as FOMI Queen Tourism 2024, is an indigene of Auchi in Edo State.
Similarly, according to the official result released by the organisers immediately after the Grand Finale, winners in award categories are as follows: Miss. Eniola Aduniyi, representative of National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) won FOMI Miss. Intellectual Award 2024 while Miss. Chiamaka Pius, representative of Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) won FOMI Most Talented Award 2024.
Other Award Winners include Miss. Olaoye who won FOMI Top Model Award 2024; while Miss. Roselyn Olanisimi also clinched FOMI Miss. Leadership Award 2024.

Recall that FOMI is a maritime industry pageantry of international standards which uses beauty queens as role models to champion women participation in the maritime sector through a pet project tagged ‘Girls Go-To-Sea Campaign Initiative.’
The aims and objectives of FOMl are built on four pillars namely: to change the perception that maritime is all for men; to champion ‘Girls Go-To-Sea Campaign’ progamme; to promote Nigeria’s maritime tourism potential and to mentor and empower young woman in maritime career path.
The Winner of Face Of Maritime International 2024, Miss Roselyn Olanisimi goes home with One Million Naira cash prize, while the First and Second Runners Up, Miss. Olaide Olaoye and Miss. Mira Idididi won N600,000 and N400,000 cash prizes respectively.
The three Crowned Queens are also entitled to one year endorsement deals, media promotions and other fringe benefits.
