The Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Dayo Mobereola, has extended warm felicitations to maritime stakeholders across the country on the occasion of the 2026 Workers’ Day.

Mobereola praised the dedication, professionalism, and resilience of industry players, noting that their unwavering commitment continues to drive growth and development within Nigeria’s maritime sector.

In his message, the NIMASA boss commended the workforce for their daily contributions, stating: “To all officers and stakeholders in the maritime industry who bring passion and expertise to their duties, I sincerely appreciate your dedication and invaluable service”.

He further reaffirmed NIMASA’s commitment as the industry regulator to strengthening oversight of maritime labour practices, ensuring compliance with existing frameworks and international standards.

The Director General emphasised that the Agency’s efforts align with the theme of the 2026 Workers’ Day, which highlights the importance of safety, dignity, and productivity in the workplace.

Mobereola reiterated that NIMASA will continue to champion policies and initiatives that protect workers’ rights while fostering a more efficient and globally competitive maritime industry.
